Nanette's practice integrates a paradigm of mind/body wellness, stress management and cognitive restructuring. Her supportive, collabrative style encourages self awareness, acceptance and motivation. Through engaged listening and creative reflection, she helps clients touch hidden areas within themselves, fostering a sense of clarity, understanding and resilience. Ultimately, clients learn to become happy, peaceful and confident.
For over 20 years, she has specialized in helping clients cope with emotional challenges related to chronic illness, grief, trauma, adoption, aging and abuse. She has a Masters in Counseling from Fairfield University, where she is an adjunct professor. In 2001 she received professional training at UMASS Medical School's Center for Mindfulness. She has taught hundreds to practice the art of mindfulness through meditation and engaged living.
